GOP Hit With Late
Fee For Failure to Return Minorities After Convention The Republican National Committee was served with a late fee after they failed to return the minorities they rented for the GOP National Convention last week in Philadelphia. Several of the minorities were due back at Blackbuster at midnight on the night of August 3, the same night Republican presidential nominee George W. Bush delivered his acceptance speech, but still haven't been returned as of this writing. "It's not that big of a deal," said Blackbuster spokeswoman Anita Headcheck. "The Democrats are always running up late fees, but no one ever seems to notice. I guess since this is the first time since 1865 that the Republicans have rented minorities for their convention, it's caused a bit of a stir."
